About Henry
I studied photography and received my AAS degree in Visual Communications at Ivy Tech Community College, with a concentration in photography.
To improve my photography, I have read various books on the subject such as Mastering Model Shoot by Frank Doorhof, The Photographer’s Eye by Michael Freeman and many others.
I specialize in portrait photography for families and students. I also use creative photography in macro, landscape and still life. For me photography is making time stand still, where families and generations that follow can relive that moment in time. There is no greater satisfaction than for me then to create a photograph that will be cherished for years to come.
I feel it’s important to have a meeting prior to any session with all parties to discuss exactly what they’re looking for and the services that I can provide. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know each other, which will allow us to become comfortable when we begin to work together. This is a chance for both of us to ask questions, and then decide:
The right photographer for you
Choosing the right photographer is the first step in the process of creating the experience you’re looking for. I strive to take the best photograph possible. We want the photograph to be a true reflection of what you want. Photographs will go through an editing process which is only to enhance the photograph by removing blemishes, smoothing skin, and brightening eyes. An amateur will not possess these skills. You do not, however, want a photographer to over enhance the photograph to the extent it does not represent what you desire.
“It’s one thing to take a picture of what a person
looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of
who they are.”
— Paul Caponigro
The Investment
During the planning phase every detail will be covered. Sessions fees, options, and packages all will be covered.
Photographs are an investment in preserving memories. There is nothing more enjoyable than picking up photograph years after it has been taken, and watching a smile come across the face of the holder. It is also something that will be shared with future generations to come.
Custom photographs are a worthwhile investment and they are very affordable. A portrait-pricing sheet with all options will be reviewed in our pre-portrait session.
“The best thing about a picture is that it never
changes, even when the people in it do.”
— Andy Warhol
